Welcome to Rolax, the ideal holiday home in Umbria!

Only a few kilometres from the centre of historical Perugia, one of the oldest and most suggestive medieval towns of central Italy, a little apartment in hill position between olive trees and beautiful panoramic views to Assisi awaits you. This is ROLAX. Our holiday house has a double bedroom and a living room with kitchen, and can offer you every comfort, as a large bathroom with bathtub and washing machine. The kitchen has a gas cooker and electric oven. A little balcony invites you to have breakfast outside or just to enjoy the sun.

The green region of Umbria gives you the possibility to visit not only the great capital of Perugia, but also a number of little medieval towns, which await you with plenty of points of historic and artistic interest: Assisi, Gubbio, Spello, Todi, Montefalco, Spoleto or Cittą della Pieve, for example. As an alternative you can meditate on the magnificent panoramic view of Lago Trasimeno with its islands, where you can admire the beautiful blossom of the spring.

Our holiday house is suitable for 2 or 3 persons, and is situated in the quiet village of Montelaguardia. Only 200 metres away there is a supermarket, a winebar, newspapers and hair stylist. Nearby you will find also a pizzeria and a farm offering healthy country food for your dinner in the evening. Our prices are between 280 and 390 Euros a week, and depend on season and number of persons staying. For any further inquiries you can send an e-mail to info@rolax.it or leave a message at +39-320-1155192.

How to reach us

By car:

From the E 45 motorway (Ravenna-Orte) do not exit for Perugia, but take the exit "Ponte Felcino", situated between the exits "Bosco-Gubbio" and "Ponte Valleceppi". (For those coming from the south: pass first under the motorway.) Continue west, on to Ponte Rio. There, turn right immediately, following the road signs for Montelaguardia. From the top of the hill, drive through the village. You will find the number 39/C on your right, about 150 metres after the two bar-caffé of the village, below the street level. Drive down the little street and turn always right.
Only for those coming from the west (A1 motorway/ Trasimeno lake): Take the exit "Perugia San Faustino" and go in direction of the main town. Follow the road signs for "Elce", going straight on at all the lights. Where the road is diveded in two parts (without lights), take the left one, then go right immediatedly, in direction "San Marco". From the second roundabout on follow always the road signs for "Ponte Rio" or "Ponte Felcino", driving along the city walls for some distance. At Ponte Rio, turn left at the second crossroad for Montelaguardia (for the rest see above).

By train:

From the station of Perugia Fontivegge take the bus 14 for Montelaguardia/ Cordigliano (the bus also stops at the historic town center) and exit at the bus stop Montelaguardia 3 (about 150 metres after the two village bar). After few metres go down the stairs on your right and you will find the number 39/C in front of you (see also the description "By car").

By plane:

The airport of Sant'Egidio (situated between Perugia and Assisi; see www.airport.umbria.it) offers daily flights from and to Milan Malpensa (see www.alitalia.com). There are also seasonal flights to and from Olbia (Sardegna) and regular connections with London Stansted (see www.ryanair.com).
As an alternative you can take a flight to Rome Fiumicino and reach with a "FR1" train the station of Roma Tiburtina; there you will find several train connections to Perugia (see www.trenitalia.it). A bus society offers some direct connections between the airport Rome Fiumicino (bus stop near Terminal C) and Perugia (see www.sulga.it).
If you arrive at the airport Rome Ciampino you should take the bus to the station Roma Termini and continue by train. There are also international flights to Pisa. From this airport, continue by train, changing at Florence S.M.N. From this station most of the trains going to Perugia continue to Foligno as final destination; in rare cases you will have to change at Terontola.
